Very modern anno 2024: we are sustainable! Sustainable is a very broad term. It takes little effort to utter pretty words and good intentions. With a nice story, it seems like there are only benefits to sustainability. So how is it possible that there are still companies that do not see sustainability as the top priority? See below some of the pros and cons of using materials sustainability in booth construction. 3 joys of sustainability:
- Profit for the environment: by consciously handling our resources, we greatly reduce the ecological footprint.
This should be the starting point at all times. - Commercial: you profile yourself as an environmentally aware company.
This indicates an attitude that is also observed towards the (potential) customer. - Financial: by dealing with products in a conscious way, e.g. by reusing them, a nice saving can be made.
On a stand with a lot of printing in it, this can sometimes save up to 20%.
3 burdens of sustainability:
- Being conscious about materials also means making compromises.
Instead of the time-honored coffee cups, you now have to bring and wash your own cup or mug. - New environmentally friendly materials sometimes have lesser properties than an environmentally polluting variant.
Consider, for example, flooring where the plastic backing has been replaced by a textile variant.
At higher temperatures in the exhibition hall, the 100% recyclable variant may start to work more than the non-recyclable variant. - Less flexible: reusing materials can also mean that you can’t always make quick changes.
If you have canvases printed with images for a booth, then for a2nd use you will have to make sure that the dimensions of the booth are such that the “old” canvases can be used in it again.
Beaufair is built on reusing materials.
Traditionally we sell systems that you can use over and over again.
The Aluvision and T3 systems provide a solid foundation for any trade show booth.
